How It Started

A Diary, Not a Look Book

It started as a personal habit — photographing what we actually wore before leaving the house, on the good days and the rushed ones. Most fashion content shows the styled, lit, and edited version of an outfit. We wanted the diary version instead: what it looked like, what it cost, and whether it survived the day it was worn.

The Outfit Diaries grew out of that habit. Every entry is a page in that running record — a real outfit, worn by a real person, written down before the memory of it faded. Nothing here is staged for a single perfect photo. If a piece didn’t hold up past golden hour, we say so.

From office mornings to playground afternoons, from thrifted finds to considered splurges, The Outfit Diaries covers style the way it’s actually lived — for women, for men, for kids, and for the smallest members of the family too.

I’m the person behind the diary — someone who has photographed an outfit on the way out the door more times than in front of a proper backdrop. Nothing published here is theoretical. Every entry starts as a real morning, a real closet decision, and sometimes a real regret about the shoes by 3 PM.

I started The Outfit Diaries because most style content shows you the highlight reel, not the actual wardrobe. Everything shared here comes from clothes we’ve genuinely worn, washed, re-worn, and sometimes quietly returned. When I’m not writing an entry, I’m usually rethinking whether that thrifted blazer was actually worth it.
